Meet the Author

Having written the song Everyday Things many moons ago when her children were small, Margaret Doherty promised herself that someday, when she was less busy she would turn her song  into a children’s book.

Margaret is an Irish woman, born and raised in county Kildare. Growing up on a farm she was deeply rooted in nature, and from an early age foot to fork was on the menu. As a child she observed her parents as they instilled their values and traditions which she still practices today. 

The lyrics reminded her of happy memories from different stages throughout her life; as a child, a mother and grandmother, all of which we can enjoy through her own colourful illustrations of the bees.

Everyday Things, A Song For The Honeybees is a tribute to childhood, country life and of course nature.  

As for the bees, well , where would we be without them !
